India jumped 14 places to the 63rd position in the World Bank's ease of doing business ranking released in October.
The 5th edition of GES 2019 is being held from November 26-28 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, the release said.
Industry bodies exuded confidence that India will climb the rankings further to be among the top 50 nations.
The industry emphasised that it was now critical for banks to facilitate a faster transmission of rate cuts.
CII said the measures announced come at a time when the world economy is buffeted by global headwinds and trade slowdown.
