Bezos had committed investment worth USD 5 billion in the Indian market in 2016.
The initiative was launched earlier this year in the US, Europe (UK, France, Italy, Spain, and Germany) and Japan.
Amazon and other companies through the chamber’s Super Pac emerged winners, one of them an incumbent.
The company did not immediately clarify where or how the money would be used.
An Amazon India spokesperson declined to comment on the fund infusion.
In January, Walmart told the US government privately that India's new rules were regressive and had the potential to hurt trade ties.
Detailed questionnaires have been sent to Flipkart, Amazon and their response is awaited, said commerce minister Piyush Goyal.
Flipkart did not comment on the investments planned for the new venture.
