In that edition, we sought to rise above the cloud and look at the sunny side. Hope, therefore, was the leitmotif of that edition. As the year unfolded, India proved that that hope was not misplaced.

With the dawning of 2010, we at Financial Chronicle feel emboldened to dream of an India that can, and given the will, will. India has the promise, the potential, the wherewithal and the dare. We create scenarios: what if India were to be the best, the most, the tallest in every field? If this were to be so, what will life and business, indeed, the entire nation look like? The edition that you have in your hands today seeks to portray that India.
