Services output expands for first time in 3 months: PMI

The IHS Markit India Services Business Activity Index improved to 52.7 in November from 49.2 in October.

Although the Nikkei/IHS Markit Services Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) rose to 49.2 last month from 48.7 in September, it remained below the 50-mark threshold separating contraction from growth on a monthly basis.

The IHS Markit India Services Business Activity Index fell to 48.7 in September from 52.4 in August.

The IHS Markit India Manufacturing PMI was at 51.4 in September, unchanged from August and thereby posting its joint-lowest reading since May 2018.
