Gold futures jumped more than 2 per cent following the budget announcement to hit a record high of 35,100 rupees per 10 grams.

Gold of 99.9 per cent and 99.5 per cent purity declined Rs 170 each to Rs 34,210 and Rs 34,040 per 10 gram, respectively.

Gold is trading at 34,380 per 10 gram supported by firm global trend and increased demand from local jewellers.
