RBI rubs it in, says no respite from price rise

Shaktikanta Das says vegetable prices should soften by early February 2020.

The target for second half of 2019-20 has been set at 3.5-3.7 per cent with risks evenly balanced, the RBI said in the monetary policy review.

The July 31-August 6 poll of 30 economists showed retail inflation rose to 3.20 per cent in July from a year ago.
