in Mahindra Satyam, which it bought over a period since January leading up to the bidding for the company. YM Deosthalee told reporters in Mumbai: “Although the lock-in period for the company is coming to an end, we are in no hurry to sell our stake in the company.”

“It is now more of a portfolio investment and the sale would depend on the tax liability, performance and the market perception about the company, and that too at the right time,” he pointed out.

“The company also plans to avoid any capital gains tax that may arise due to sell-off before one year of the purchase,” he said. The company does not want to put a time frame to the selling of the stake either.
