State-run Bharat Heavy Electricals (Bhel) on Thursday announced a 36 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 10,726 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2009 on higher sales. The country’s largest power equipment maker’s net profit during the corresponding period last year stood at Rs 7,906 crore.
