Future to open 200 branches in 80 cities

Future Generali, the one-year-old insurance joint venture between Mumbai-based Future Group and Italian Generali Group, plans to open 200 branches in 80 cities across the country, targeting Rs 300-400 crore business in the next two years, a top official said.

"Despite the market slowdown, we achieved a Rs 100-crore business in the first half of the ongoing financial year and we are aiming at a revenue target of Rs 300-400 crore by the end the year," Jayant Khosla, CEO, Future Generali India Life Insurance, said. He said the firm would also double its headcount from the existing 600-1,200 staff by the end next year.

“With a proven solid insurance track record of Generali Group, the third biggest insurance group in Europe and the 30th largest in the Fortune 500 international ranking, and the Indian partner’s customer insight, we have a strategy in place for our aggressive business model and growth,” Khosla said. The firm on Wednesday opened its 6,500 sq ft office in Pune.
