Sinuous, spunky and a riot of colours

Day one of the the FDCI Amazon India Fashion Week saw designer  JJ Valaya celebrating 25 wonderful years in the world of style and fashion. The show introduced the designer’s collection  of occasion-wear ensembles for the season. The line up feature  three of Valaya’s all time favourite inspiration Glisten, Jamavar and Punjab.  Glisten was a  homage to nature featuring  A-line of sinuous silhouettes, signature prints and antique embroideries. Jamavar celebrated the designers constant fascination for Indian paisleys and the intricacies of the Jamavar motifs in a modern interpretion. Punjab was a humble tribute to his roots, this years interpretation stands inspired by the court dressing of thea Maharajas of Kapurthala. Alongside models the designer had popular names from Delhi’s social circle walk the runway.
