XLRI to roll out agri-business course

XLRI School of Business & Human Resource, Jamshedpur, a premier B-School in the country, is now coming up with a specially designed curriculum on agri-business management. The move clearly reflects the growing importance of agri-business sector and growing opportunities emerging out of this sector. XLRI has infact teamed up with IKisan, an agri portal, which is an arm of Nagarjuna Fertilisers and Chemicals (NFCL) to design and roll out this new programme.

Fr E Abraham, director, XLRI, Jamshedpur, said that the six-month online self-learning programme aims at helping students identify with as well developing an exciting sales and marketing career within the dynamic and fast growing agri-business. The new course will be formally launched in May, this year.

“We are introducing this programme keeping in mind the plethora of opportunities within the dynamic and fast growing agri-business sector. The course will supplement candidates’ agricultural knowledge with business skills further enhancing their effectiveness,” said Abraham.

The course has been jointly designed by XLRI and IKisan in a way so as to allow the participants to learn at their own pace on a self-learning basis.
