Trisha new face of CavinKare Fairever

FMCG firm CavinKare has replaced actor Asin with Trisha as brand ambassador of Fairever fairness cream. This follows the recent re-launch of the product to revive the stagnant sales.

Asin, who has acted in several south Indian movies and has bagged a few Bollywood films, had been the brand ambassador of Fairever for the past five years. Her contract ends this June. Trisha, on the other hand, is still active in south Indian movies. “We had recently re-launched the product and felt we should have a new face for the product. Asin has now become a national-level actor,’ said C K Ranganathan, CMD, CavinKare.

Fairever contributes around 8-10 per cent to CavinKare’s FMCG sales. Ranganathan said last year was tough for Fairever. The brand has around 18 per cent market share in fairness cream space in south India after HUL’s Fair & Lovely.
