Sportxs stores to retail Italian swimwear brand

Organised sports gear retailer, Sportxs, has expanded its product portfolio to sell swimwear and swimming accessories from Italian brand Diana in its stores.

“We are the exclusive retailer of Diana Swimwear, the Italian brand of swimwear and swimming accessories,” said Monica Laliwala, MD of Sportxs. The Bangalore-based firm said the four major categories of product range and accessories for men, women, boys and girls will be made available across all Sportxs stores in Bangalore, Pune and Ahmedabad.

The firm is also expanding its footprint and plans to launch 70-75 company-owned multi-brand stores across tier-I, II and III cities over the next three years with an investment of over Rs 80 crore. “Diana Sport offers functional yet highly fashionable swimwear, and is a brand of choice for world championship swimmers internationally,” Laliwala said. Diana’s Nuantondo range includes swimming products, while the Rueroyale range is fashionable leisure and beach wear products.

“These products are designed and fitted for better swimming performance,” Laliwala said. The range of Diana accessories such as anti-fog goggles fitted with anti-fog, powered lenses that facilitate the swimmers’ vision underwater and leisure to professional wear cost Rs 699 to Rs 1,799 each. “Our customers — sports hobbyists, enthusiasts, professional athletes — look for brands that not only to enhance performance but also prevent injury,” Laliwala said. Sportxs, a multi-brand, multi-category concept, boasts of over 7,000 varieties of stock keeping units (SKUs) across 32 sports categories and 60 brands.
