Software exports from Telangana estimated to be Rs 57,000 crore

Software exports from Telangana are estimated to be Rs 57,000 crore for the 2013014. The figures complied by the STPI and Development Commissioner SEZ shows that IT and ITES segments grew by 14 per cent during the last year. The software exports for the last year was 49,831 crore.

The direct employment generated by the software exports is 3,23,691 for 2013-14. The figures do not include domestic software sales and electronic hardware industry, according to information technology, electronics and communication secretary Harpreet Singh.

The IT and ITES sector is largely concentrated in and around the capital city of Hyderabad.
