Philips plans healthcare solutions for Indian market

The survey reveals that urban Indians feel 24 per cent healthier and happier than those living in rural India. However, only 16 per cent of Indians exercise regularly and only 17 per cent visit a doctor for checkups. In fact, 83 per cent of urban Indians do not consider themselves overweight.
The Philips Health & Wellbeing Index Report survey has been implemented in over 23 countries. The Philips Urban India Index Report is based on a survey conducted across 32 cities and towns, and the Philips Rural India Index Report is based on a survey done in 28 locations.
“Such surveys enable us to understand and pioneer innovations that help people address issues surrounding them.” said Vivek Sharma, CMO, Philips India.
