launched in collaboration with the brainchild of the F1 games, Jaypee Sports International (JPSI), at Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida. This will be the fourth academy for the luxury carmaker outside Germany, US and China.

The programme, open to all, costs a staggering Rs 75,000 a day. For people who already own Mercedes-Benz cars, it will cost Rs 50,000 per day. Drivers will be taught ‘performance driving’ on Mercedes-Benz cars such as the SLS AMG, C63 AMG.

The academy will open for just eight days a year with 64 exclusive slots. The company is also offering special offers for clubs and corporate houses. The participants can also enroll for other higher-level courses at Mercedes-Benz’s performance driving academy in Germany.

“Under guidance of expert instructors who are themselves former race drivers and champions, participants will have an opportunity to hone their driving skills. We believe that performance driving has come of age in India,” said Peter Honegg, MD & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India. The programme is set to boost motor-sport culture in India apart from nurturing new racing talents.

“Buddh International Circuit has been hailed as one of the best racing tracks and we are delighted to offer racing enthusiasts an opportunity to experience AMG performance driving,” said Sameer Gaur, managing director and CEO, JPSI.
