Indian stocks, bond, foreign exchange and commodities markets will be closed on Friday for a public holiday.

The Bombay Stock Exchange's main index closed up 0.71 percent at 18,799.66 points on Thursday.

The partially convertible rupee ended at 46.47/48 per dollar on Thursday, stronger than Wednesday's close of 46.63/64.

The benchmark 10-year bond yield ended at 7.91 percent, 3 basis points below the previous close.
