Lafarge donates Rs 10m for Bihar flood victims

Cement-maker Lafarge India today said it has donated Rs 10 million to support relief

operations in the flood-affected areas of Bihar, which is a key area of its operations.

The company has arranged supplies of essential medicines and life-saving drugs through the Red Cross, a company statement said here today.

Lafarge has also joined hands with an NGO to provide relief to victims in the form of milk powder, dry food, waterproof sheets, clothes, blankets and water purification tablets.

The firm intends to help in reconstruction and rehabilitation of the displaced after floodwaters recede, the release said.
