India will reach 6m cars in 10 yrs: Nissan CEO

Renault-Nissan top boss Carlos Ghosn Sunday said performances with JV partners in the country are not going the way he wanted them to go.

"I am not saying all our performances are going the way we wanted them to, though I never thought we were going to get it right at the first time here," said Carlos Ghosn, chairman & CEO, Renault-France and president & CEO, Nissan-Japan on the sidelines of the India Economic Summit 2009.

"But we have patience and we have to learn from experiences," he added.

Ghosn further said he was optimistic about growth in India. India will reach six million cars annually from the present two million in ten years, added.

"The whole auto industry is down globally, but India's exports have been increasing, which is a good sign," he added.
