USD 29 million this year as economic crisis hit earnings at entertainment giant.

Iger, who is also the President of the company, received a compensation of USD 29.03 million for the full year ended October 3, 2009.

The total salary is down 28 per cent compared to USD 30.62 million in the year-ago period, a regulatory filing of the company showed.

The lower compensation was mainly due to a steep fall in performance-based incentive pay that stood at USD 9.26 million against USD 13.95 million in the comparable period.

In finalising the performance-based compensation, the firm's overall performance in the backof the raging economic downturn was also considered.

Hit by the economic crisis, the company witnessed falling revenues and profits in 2009.
