solutions provider in enterprising and services segments in the next five years.

"We now want to become top solutions provider in next five years and leveraging 26,000 workforce which is one fourth of Dell’s global workforce," Dell India MD Ganesh Lakshminarayanan told reporters here on the sidelines of an IT conclave.

Dell India, which recorded 21 per cent growth in business during May till July, has 17 per cent market share in India with total business revenue of $ 2 billion.

He said Indian IT market was quite lucrative and IT services was pegged at $ 8 billion which would reach $ 14 billion in next few years.

The company would continue to grow in end user computing devices space while its focus would also be on enterprising solutions.

"We believe enterprising solutions will grow with demand for storage increasing as more and more people download content," he said.

He further said Dell has acquired a couple of companies like EqualLogic, Compellent in storage space, SecureWorks in security space and Force-10 in networking.

The company has PC manufacturing facility in Chennai with a capacity of 2 million units per annum. It also exports PC to the Middle East and Africa.

Earlier speaking on this occasion, Lakshminarayanan said five opportunities that exist for the Indian SMBs are eCommerce, mobility, eBanking, cloud computing and commercialisation of information technology, especially with the growing penetration of computers, internet, and mobile services.
