Citigroup ropes in Joanne Allen as HR head of Australia, New Zealand operations

Citigroup today said it has appointed Joanne Allen as Head of Human Resources (HR)

for its Australia and New Zealand operations.

Joanne is rejoining Citi after two years of managing a HR consulting business. Prior to this, she was with Citi for nine years in a variety of roles, Citi said in a statement.

"I am particularly pleased to welcome Joanne back to Citi. She has held a number of senior roles in HR in both Europe and Asia and has excelled in every role that she has taken on," Citi HR Regional Head Terry Endsor said.

Allen would replace Peter Cappie-wood as HR head of Citi' Australia and New Zealand business. He would join Citi's regional HR team, and would continue to be based in Sydney.

Cappie's new role would focus on leadership development and efforts designed to build the talent pipeline for Citi in Asia Pacific.

Citi has operations in 19 countries in the Asia Pacific region, and 140 countries worldwide. In Australia, Citi employees 1,800 people
