Cura to fortify R&D by adding 100 staff

South Africa-based Cura Software Solutions would be setting up an R&D unit in Hyderabad

and will recruit 100 people over the next three months. The company is a subsidiary of city-based Softpro Systems.

The R&D facility is coming up at Softpro’s Hyderabad office at a cost of $3 million. A further $2 million would be spent on research work in the lab. Of the 100 new joiners, 90 would constitute the new R&D team and the balance would be a part of the sales department, Avi Eyal, CEO of Cura, said. This fresh spell of recruitment would take the company’s staff strength to 200.

Softpro had announced the acquisition of Cura in May this year for $19 million. The transaction was completed in a structured all-cash deal last month. The Hyderabad-based company intends to achieve a combined turnover of $150 million in five years.
