Wipro, Axeda form global alliance for M2M solutions

service provider Axeda Corporation to offer end-to-end solutions for leveraging machine-to-machine (M2M) communication.

M2M refers to technologies that allow wireless and wired systems to communicate with other enabled-devices.

The partnership will help organisations connect with any asset, leverage machine data to enhance business processes and develop new innovative enterprise applications, Wipro said in a statement.

The Axeda Machine Cloud is a cloud-based service for managing connected assets and implementing innovative M2M applications.

Wipro's strategic relationship with Axeda will enable faster rollout of M2M services and make the entire experience simpler, it said.

"Our alliance with Axeda ensures that organisations in every geographic region, serving a variety of vertical industries, have the ability to launch a M2M offering that is easier, faster and significantly more cost effective than creating their own," Wipro Technologies Senior Vice President and Global Head (Media and Telecom) Ayan Mukerji said.
