of luxury. From business travellers to leisure seekers, travel and tourism has seen a whole new spurt. However, finding your way in an unknown town can be a dampener and at times frustrating.

To beat the travelling blues, SatNav Technologies, a GPS navigation major, on Tuesday launched a navigation product that will work in several countries all over the world. Consumers travelling to multiple regions will now have access to a detailed road network across more than 250 provinces in the US and Canada and 21 countries in Europe in addition to India where 404 cities are mapped. The SatGuide P360 PDA also has more than 16 lakh ‘points of interest’ destinations.

This marks a shift in GPS technology in India where firms have primiarily focused on providing GPS navigation for cities within the country. “With the rising number of Indian citizens visiting US and European countries each year, as well as the inbound visitors increasing, the need for navigational devices that offer detailed road maps of these regions also increases.”, said Amit Prasad, founder and CEO of SatNav.

The maps for US/Cana-da and European countries, priced at Rs 2,999 and Rs 3,999, respectively, are available at www.satguide.in
