Mahindra Satyam, Intertek ink MoU for Smart Grid project

IT service provider Mahindra Satyam today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Intertek

to collaborate on 'Smart Grid', a power grid using technology to enhance monitoring and management of power flow.

"With Intertek's expertise in design review services, testing and certification services, we will deliver added value to our customers in our smart grid offerings," Karthikeyan Natarajan, Senior Vice-President and Global Head, Integrated Engineering Solutions at Mahindra Satyam, said in a statement today.

The MoU outlines plans to jointly improve advisory, inspection and certification services for end-to-end engineering solutions to smart grid clients of Mahindra Satyam. Under the agreement, the company will serve as Intertek's partner for testing various industry standards in the smart grid business vertical.

"Mahindra Satyam's expertise in smart grid applications is aligned with Intertek's objective to advance industry safety standards and help speed the evolution of this important technology for our clients around the world," Intertek Regional Vice-President (Renewable Energy) Sunny Rai said.
