Jun 27 2011
The company is expected to increase its employees’ salary by 10-13 per cent for 2011-12. HCL Technologies’ wage revision happens beginning July every year.
“In HCL, we will have our wage revision in July. We will disclose it during our fourth quarterly result in July. We are watching the market and we will be competitive. I cannot disclose by how much, but it will sure be market competitive,” senior corporate vice-president and chief customer officer, HCL Technologies, Rajiv Sodhi told Financial Chronicle.
HCL Technologies has an employees’ strength of 73,420 as per the company’s records disclosed in April this year.
Kelly Services, a staffing firm in its latest report said that companies are exploring innovative ways to retain their workforce across sectors and are implementing various motivational methods, one being increase in salaries.
“Salaries are growing reasonably and we are a market competitor. We look at new ways of servicing and providing value by having products and solutions to have a non-linear growth. It is not people dependent alone, but we get lot of non-linear, which converts into multiplying people,” Sodhi said.
