to receive 10,000 friend requests on his facebook profile everyday. Commenting on the growth of social networking sites, Gates said, “I use to get 10,000 friend requests on facebook everyday. It is a good way of communication.” Being the chairman of the large software company, Gates is not a ‘twenty-four hour technology person.’ “I like to reading in my leisure. Great ideas come when I am isolated,” Gates said.

Commenting on the search engine market, he said that the future of search is Bing. “From a year now, the market will be great. We have signed up with some of the players to make it (Bing) better. We need to try harder when we are number 2 in this space,” Gates added.

Microsoft released its search engine Bing last month in a bid to improve its ranking in the internet search market. Google is holding the major share in the search space, followed by Yahoo search. Bing’s entry into this space would mean more competition in the search arena.
