Get going with festive decorations
Christmas is round the corner. Christmas decoration is a special part of most families' traditions .Welcome the holiday season by accessorising your home with attractive decorations.

Red, green and gold are the colours that are often associated with Christmas. To start with, we have Christmas tree. All Christmas decorations revolve around Christmas tree. You can get a beautiful Christmas tree this season in natural two-toned dark green, with a stand and pre-lit with colourful lights and decoration. You just need to plug in. And you are all set.

Decorating a home — new or old — can be overwhelming. But the result is worth the effort. Following are decorating tips that will make your home a festive wonderland.

Table

Classic gold edged crystal or china-bone crockery can be perfect for the dinning table against a deep red or green tablecloth. Just team them with the right cutlery. Paper candles or pillar candles on decorative candlestands add to the festive spirit. Lit candles are more than decorative objects. Flower vases arranged strategically will instantly perk up the atmosphere.

Windows

You can buy beautiful string curtains, which come in various vibrant colours but colours red, blue and green are best for the festive season. If you do not want to invest in new curtains just for the holiday season, you can simply decorate them with silver bells and ribbons or garland embellishments.

Remember to change your sheets in your bed to either red or green, throw a few red, white and green cushions on it. Voila! Your room is as cozy as it can get. Use of dohars or quilts in floral prints will add life to your room, giving them a sophisticated look.

Lights

Soft and warm lighting is perfect to bring that Christmas mood out of its closet. You can decorate your living room by adding side table lamps in various colours. Or you could try replacing your regular bulbs with coloured ones. While you are at it, throw in some cushions on your sofas or couch in brighter shades of red, green and gold. Perfect yuletide atmosphere. Just stick to white cushions if you have opted for coloured bulbs, though. You don’t want to make the mistake of little too much now, do you?

Rugs

Throw a rug and watch your living room warm up instantly. It provides not only comfort but also adds to the style quotient of your home. Area rugs are usually designed to cover large areas of floor space. Using an area rug on laminate flooring will enhance your floor. Many people like to use woollen rugs in winter. Woollen rugs are a cheap way of making your rooms more interesting as well as having the added benefit of extra warmth and a bit of insulation.
