Sobha Developers launch Meritta at Kelambakkam

The Bangalore-based Sobha Developers have entered Ch­ennai residential property market with its high-end apartment project, Sobha Meritta at Kelambakkam, OMR, Chennai’s IT Corridor.

While most companies picked up Chennai to launch their maiden pro­ject in Tamil Nadu, Sobha Developers first launched its project in Co­imbatore, where it already had lau­nched two projects. And now when the company is in Chennai, its feels that the city has a large requirement of well developed homes at the clusters such as OMR, the GST Road and the Mount Poonamallee road, besides a whole lot of suburban opportunities.

“We are delighted to enter the Chennai real estate market with So­bha Meritta. This is our second end­eavour in the state, after Sobha Em­erald and Sobha Turquoise in Coi­mbatore,” said JC Sharma, managing director, Sobha Developers. “Luxury housing continues to be in demand and the new project is sure to meet the requirements of the opulent and hassle-free home seekers in Chennai,” he added.

The company is not completely new to the city. “While we are launching a residential project for the first time in the city, we are already doing con­tractual projects for Infosys and Dell in Chennai,” he pointed out.

“Chennai will get to witness a whole new standard of luxury living through Sobha Meritta and there has been an overwhelming response and a good buyer interest in the soft launch of the project,” said TP Sanjay Sarathy, regional director (Tamil Nadu) of Sobha Developers.

The project is being developed as a gated community in six acres of land, with five blocks, offering 556 luxury apartments — one BHK, two BHK and three BHK, with a built up area ranging from 536 sq ft to 2,163 sq ft. In the first phase, the company is starting con­struction on three blocks of 400 ap­artments with a built-up area ran­ging from 536 sq ft – 1,775 sq ft. The launch price has been set at Rs 3,770 per sq ft.

The project comes with a whole range of amenities, including a full-equipped 14,000 sq ft club house with gymnasium, swimming pool, landsc­aped parks, steam room, tennis court, children play area and open terrace for private parties among others. zz
