Brindavanam to storm Telugu box office today
NTR’s Brindavanam is all set to storm the Telugu box office on Thursday morning, as the film’s producer, Dil Raju, is leaving no stone unturned to have a big release for this.

The film, made at an estimated budget of around Rs 30 crore, will be released with about 550 prints, which is sufficient to hit at least 750 screens in India, as well as overseas. Of this, 600 screens across Andhra Pradesh will release the film, with the rest being screened in India and overseas territory.

Of late, cities, like Chennai and Bengaluru, are emerging as a major market for Telugu films, thanks to both large number of Telugu-speaking people settled in these cities, as well as the recent migration of software professionals from Andhra Pradesh. As a result, there is large-scale expectation from this movie among them and in Chennai alone, it is releasing in a record number of 12 screens.

“Brindavanam is a romantic family entertainer and as a result is sure to attract family audience in droves to the movie halls. The initial response is tremendous and it is a confident super hit movie,” Dil Raju, who has given hits like Bommarillu and Arya, told Financial Chronicle.

Beyond the combination of NTR and Dil Raju, the movie features Kajal Agarwal and Samantha in the lead opposite NTR. In fact, the careers of both Kajal and Samantha are on a high following their presence in hit movies like Magadheera and Em Maya Chesave. In addition, the film features leading stars Prakash Raj, Srihari, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Brahmaji.

“Besides the banner image of our production house, the film’s story and its presentation has created a lot of expectation. It is set to have an extraordinary opening when it hits the screens on Thursday morning,” reasserts a confident Raju, whose first bigger hit was Dil that soon got prefixed to his name.

In fact, the movie is releasing at a time, when Rajnikanth’s Robot is still holding steady, almost after a fortnight of its release. Moreover, another big movie, Khaleja, starring Mahesh Babu and Anushka, was released only last Friday.

In fact, this was Mahesh Babu’s first release in almost three years. But, the initial reactions were that the movie did not live up to the expectations despite Babu’s efforts. Telugu box office has not seen such a dhamaka of big movies lining up one after another in such a short time in a long while.
