LFW good place to buy trendy, fashionable outfits

International buyers from across the world feel that Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) in India has become a good source for them to purchase trendy and fashionable outfits at a much affordable prices.

"I come to India regularly specially during LFW for buying latest and trendy outfits. During the event I managed to buy clothes and accessories at less than 50 per cent of the prices," Indiva's Partner and Senior Vice President Wendy Dias told PTI here.

Indiva is a retail outlet in Toronto which has women wear, jewelry, footwear and bags in its 5,000 sq ft store.

"My clients In Toronto and other parts of Canada prefer buying Indo-Fusion stuff as the Indian traditional is more famous over there, Dias said, during LFW Spring-Summer held in Mumbai.

Indiva retail plans to open two stores in New York and Los Angeles in coming three years.

Another international buyer from Italy said, "India is a growing market and so we come here to see the latest collections. As the designers here offers their collections in the overseas market they negotiate on prices by 40-50 per cent."

Praising the collections of the Indian designers, he said, "The LFW is becoming bigger and better day-by-day and the women and men's wear collection with stlylish cuts and designs with a tinge of tradition is gaining popularity in the overseas market.
