Ponani Gopalakrishnan, vice-president of IBM India Software Lab, said, “Governments across the globe are pursuing collaborative networking and technology innovation to project and connect citizens — ultimately, leading to smarter decision-making. With GIF, IBM continues to be a pioneer in transforming governments through technologies and solutions that enable smarter government and help build a smarter planet.”

Some of IBM’s GIF solutions include smart city command centre to help cities enhance their sustainability and deliver effectively to citizens, government trusted identity solutions to improve access to social services and entitlements by the residents, law enforcement solutions to help police to detect, anticipate and respond during law enforcement situations and smart work for efficient governance that provides a unified interface for citizen.
