New Oxford course to build teacher capacity

BSE-listed Core Projects & Technologies (CPTL), a company providing integrated products, solutions and services in education, on Monday announced its collaboration with the University of Oxford for teacher capacity building and enablement in India.

Under the new programme, CPTL will bid for teacher capacity building projects in different state governments and once the company wins the contract, it will offer specially created programme in association with the Oxford University to teachers in the primary and secondary education.

“CPTL will identify states with the help of the ministry of human resources (MHRD) where the teacher capacity efforts is a major challenge and start with a pre-assessment process that sets the performance baseline. Course modules designed to bring the teachers who score below the baseline up to a minimum standard will then be put into place. Reports will be shared with MHRD and their recommendations incorporated,” said Sandeep Shankar, president, CPTL.
