FICCI to join hands with US varsities

Industry body FICCI will join hands with US-based educational institutions for exploring additional possibilities

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) will sign a memorandum of understanding with IC2 Institute at the Texas University for cooperation in field of academic programmes and scientific exchanges.

This would involve the implementation of new, distinctive programs in India with the aim of helping Indian innovators bring their ideas to the world.

FICCI will sign an MoU with the Institute of International Education to promote and facilitate educational and training exchanges between the US and India. IIE, a not- for-profit educational and cultural exchange organisation in the US, will collaborate with FICCI to facilitate more student exchanges and build academic partnerships between the two countries.

FICCI and the Polytechnic Institute of New York University have decided to join hands to develop the culture of innovation in India. NYU-Poly and FICCI will design and host activities to promote an understanding of how partnerships between government, industry, and educational institutions can spur advances in research and bolster economic activity in India.

The MoUs would be signed tomorrow on the sidelines of the visit of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here.
