Emantras bets on blended learning tools

E-learning solutions provider Emantras Interactive Technologies bets on blended learning techniques that combine traditional teaching methods and interactive tools such as games. The company plans to focus on IP creation (intellection property) in content and delivery models such as mobile platforms.

“The traditional approach to learning in the form of lectures, assignments and tests is slowly fading. Blended learning techniques that equip users to learn by doing tasks rather than mere reading have been found to be the most effective,” Sesh Kumar, CEO of Emantras, said.

The company has offered animations and gaming engines as part of learning to simulate real-world situations. Emantras is also working on delivery of learning tools through different platforms including mobile handsets and widgets in social networking sites.

“There are several players in the e-learning space, but challenge is in creating content. We will continue to earn 50 per cent of our revenue from services to enterprises, but will also focus on creating content,” he said.
