Access Atlantech to help Madras University

Access Atlantech Edutainment (AAT), a Chennai-based media technology company, has tied up with University of Madras to offer training on creation of digital teaching content to lecturers who undergo training at the academic staff college of the university. This is part of the module on ‘media in education’, introduced a month before in the college’s curriculum.

“We are pushing for e-learning through these initiatives, thereby creating a market for digital content. We plan to hive off a subsidiary for the same,” Rathish Babu, chief executive officer of AAT said. While e-learning is not a major part of its revenues, AAT aims to increase its share in the future.

“We will take this programme across staff training colleges in India over the next three years and will offer it for future batches at Madras University as well,” Babu said.
