Govt refuses permission to Bt Brinjal

Jairam Ramesh says no to Bt Brinjal. He told a media conference that till data provided showed there were no ill effects, approval could not be granted.

However, he asserted that this did not mean a no forever. The environment minister said till it was proved that it was completely safe, clearance would not be given.
