Global water expo to be held in Chennai

Several international water and waste water treatment companies will be showcasing their cost effective green technologies and advancements in the field of water sector at the "7th Everything About Water Expo 2010", an international exhibition-cum-conference to be held at the Chennai Trade Centre from January 7 to January 9. The event, claimed to be South Asia’s largest water expo, will see domestic and international companies and various associations specialising in the fields of water harvesting, water and waste water treatment, conservation, irrigation, wastewater recycling and desalination, among others, coming under one roof to showcase and exhibit their products and expertise.

Several developments in India have been attracting international water firms to tap the potential here. “With largescale infrastructure development happening across India creating more pressure on existing water resources, the need for such an exhibition is even more felt now,” said Sunil Ghorawat, managing director, EA Water.
