Defiance Technologies Limited appraised as a CMMI Level 3 Organisation

Chennai, November 2012: Defiance Technologies Limited, a Hinduja Group Company, has been appraised at Level 3 of the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). The appraisal was performed by KPMG.

CMMI is a process improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance.

An appraisal at maturity level 3 indicates the organization is performing at a defined level. At this level, processes are well characterized and understood, and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods. The organization’s set of standard processes, which is the basis for maturity level 3, is established and improved over time.

Maturity level 3 indicates that Defiance is performing at a “Defined level” with well characterized processes that is understood and demonstrated by the practitioners. With this accomplishment, Defiance has not only joined an elite group of CMMI-Dev ML3 appraised organizations but also has instilled their quest towardscontinuous process improvement.”
