Apeejay College of Fine Arts Creates History in Inter – Zonal Youth Festival

Jalandhar, 24 November 2009: Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar in an unprecedented and most impressive victory won the Inter-zonal trophy in the Youth Festival organized by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar for the tenth consecutive time. The college maintains its stupendous position at the Youth Festivals for the tenth time by a margin of 34 points. In this competition between the winners of Zonal Levels, Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar bagged the maximum number of positions in the various categories in which it participated. The college pocketed seventeen first positions, five second positions, and four third positions. Even more remarkable was the honour of winning four trophies in the individual category: Music Trophy, Fine Arts Trophy, Folk Trophy and Theatre Trophy. With this victory, the college has created history in the Youth Festivals. The Principal attributed the glorious win to the hard work, perseverance and dedication of the students and the staff.

Apeejay College of Fine Arts always encourages activities which lead to overall students development. The Design Department of college keeps on organizing various events and workshops. Recently the college organised a for day workshop on "Paper Mache Craft of Kashmir", a creative blend of paper pulp and colors.
