s.Oliver to set up exclusive stores in Delhi, Pune soon

European clothing label s.Oliver plans to open exclusive stores in Pune and Delhi by early next year. The brand also plans to open shop-in-shop stores via retailers in north and west India.

“We are now looking at aggressive expansion. Pune and Delhi are our prime focus for the next year.” Gaurav Sehgal, COO, s.Oliver India told Financial Chronicle. The brand says it is excited about the business opportunities Indian market has to offer.

“The Indian market represents a perfect concoction of disposable income, buying appetite, flair for fashion and lifestyle and a willingness to spend,” Sehgal said. s. Oliver in India, which is a joint venture between s.Oliver (Germany) and Orient Craft (India), expects to double its turnover in 2010 from Rs 15 crore this year.

At the moment the brand is not looking at any tie-ups, franchisee arrangements.

Though it plans to do so later. The brand has launched ‘Sound of Christmas’ campaign in India with David Garrett, a virtuoso violinist, as brand ambassador.

The company is involved in designing, manufacturing and distributing fashion and lifestyle products, including apparel, accessories, beachwear and eyewear. The products are marketed under different labels such as s.Oliver Casual , QS by s.Oliver and s.Oliver Selection. The brand runs three exclusive outlets in New Delhi, Mumbai and Gurgaon
