Pfizer Nov qtr net profit at Rs 137 cr

Pharma company Pfizer today said its consolidated net profit declined by 54.22 per cent

to Rs 137 crore for the quarter ended November 30.

It had a net profit of Rs 299.58 crore in the same period last year.

"The net sales for the three months and full year ended November 30, 2009 include sales of products transferred to Johnson & Johnson Ltd. Hence, the figures are not comparable," Pfizer Ltd said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Net sales stood at Rs 772 crore for the September-November quarter '09, while they were at Rs 681.7 crore in the same period last year, the filing added.

On standalone basis, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 25.73 crore for the quarter ended November 30, 2009. However, it had a net profit of Rs 30.23 crore in the same period last year.

Shares of Pfizer today closed at Rs 931.90 on the BSE, up 0.02 per cent from previous close.
