NTPC operating profit may lag estimates: StarMine

Operating profit at NTPC Ltd may lag consensus estimates when the company reports results for the January-March quarter on Thursday, Thomson Reuters StarMine's SmartEstimates shows.

StarMine's SmartEstimates, which places a greater emphasis on forecasts by top-rated analysts, expects NTPC to report operating profit of 46.13 billion rupees ($769.49 million) for the quarter, compared with a consensus mean estimate of 47.07 billion rupees.
