Natco Pharma Q3 net profit jumps 24%

Natco Pharma today reported a 23.91 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit

at Rs 17 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 13.72 crore in the same period of the last financial year, Natco Pharma said in a filing to the BSE.

The consolidated total income during the third quarter also went up by 22.89 per cent to Rs 145.43 crore from Rs 118.34 crore in the year-ago period, it added.

The board of directors also declared an interim dividend of Rs 3 per equity share of Rs 10 each for 2011-2012.

The shares of the company today closed 1.04 per cent lower at Rs 272.20 apiece on the BSE
