Mahindra Two Wheelers plans introduce up to four new products, including a scooter, a bike in entry level segment and variants of existing products, this year as it looks to scale up presence in the market.

The company is also aiming to treble its exports in the next six months with plans to enter four new international markets by this year.

"We have been on a stabilisation mode putting our infrastructure in place in the last one year. With a series of launches in both domestic and international markets, we are now looking at rapid growth," Mahindra Two Wheelers Chief of Operations Viren Popli told PTI.

Elaborating the company's launch programmes for this year, he said there could be three to four product launches this year.

"These will include variants of existing products, a new scooter and also we are looking at the 100-110 cc motorcycle segment," Popli added.

The company's 300 cc bike Mojo is also slated for market launch this calendar year.

He said the company's flagship model Centuro has been posting good volume growth.

When asked about reports of the company discontinuing its entry level bike model Pantero, Popli said: "We don't have any such plans. The Pantero continues to be in the market and we will also continue to export Arrow, which is based on the Pantero platform."

He said the company expects to increase its domestic sales substantially as it has expanded its network.

"Today we have 1,500 touch points compared to about 600 last year across the country. This will definitely help in growing our volumes," Popli said without sharing an exact number.

Mahindra Two Wheelers had reported an 83 percent increase in its domestic sales at 14,389 units in June as against 7,849 units in the same month last year. Exports for the month stood at 1,074 units.

On plans to enhance exports, he said: "By the end of the year we will be exporting to a total of 15 countries, up from 11 now. We are looking at entering Colombia and Nigeria and markets adjoining these two countries."

When asked by how much the company can grow is exports volumes, he said: "With the new products coming in, we expect 2-3 times increase in out export volumes in the next six months."
