Lupin Q3 net up 4.95% at Rs 235.1 crore

Drug firm Lupin today said its consolidated net profit rose by 4.95 per cent

to Rs 235.1 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2011, over the same period last fiscal.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 224 crore for the corresponding period of previous fiscal.

Net sales of the company grew by 21.9 per cent to Rs 1,791.7 crore for the third quarter, compared to Rs 1,469.4 crore in the same period previous fiscal.

Shares of Lupin were trading at Rs 448.45 on the BSE in the late afternoon trade, up 2.51 per cent from its previous close
