L&T bags Rs 732 crore order from NPCIL

Engineering major, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) today said it has bagged an order worth Rs 732 crore from the Nuclear Power Corporation (NPCIL) for the Rajasthan atomic power project.

The Group's wholly-owned subsidiary L&T Power has secured the order in which the company will have to supply, install and commission the balance of turbine island package for two new 700 mw capacity units--7 and 8--at the power plant in Kota in Rajasthan, a statement issued here said.

The package also includes civil work for the turbine halls, electrical bays and transformer yard, it said.

"The contract underlines L&T's growing contribution in the Indian nuclear energy sector and strengthens its long- standing relationship with NPCIL," the company said.

L&T Power offers full spectrum of engineering, procurement and construction solutions in the power sector.
