India Yamaha Motor domestic sales up 13% in January

Two-wheeler maker India Yamaha Motor today reported a 13.25 per cent increase in its domestic sales at 29,785 units during January 2013.

The company had sold 26,300 units in the same month last year, India Yamaha Motor said in a statement.

"We are indeed pleased with the sales growth that we've witnessed in the past month on account of our strong product portfolio, upbeat customer confidence and the launch of the scooter Ray in September last year, which has invariably managed to keep the growth consistent," India Yamaha Motor National Business Head Roy Kurian said.
