HMSI sales up 21 pc in April

Two-wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) today reported a 20.92 per cent growth in total sales at 3,13,942 units for April 2014.

The company's total sales stood at 2,59,608 units in the corresponding month of the previous year.

Motorcycle sales registered a rise of 12 per cent to 1,38,105 units in April 2014 from 1,23,244 units in the same month of the previous year, HMSI said in a statement.

The company also reported an increase of 28.9 per cent in scooter sales at 1,75,837 units from 1,36,364 units in April 2013, it added.
